USA DEFEATS CANADA TAKES GOLD
The USA field lacrosse 'machine' was a handful at the 2012 Worlds.
After delivering the Americans their first ever loss in the preliminary round, the Canadians fell short in the gold medal final losing 10-8, in front of a capacity crowd of 1,200:00 lax fans.
The U.S. had struggled in the preliminary round also losing to the Iroquois, but give them credit, they fought their way back in the playoff round beating first the Iroquois then Canada, to win their seventh straight gold medal.

Two Huge Games Between USA and Iroquois Before The Final
THE TWO TEAMS HAD MET IN THE PRELIMINARY
Iroquois defeated the Americans 15-13. This was the second loss for the U.S. in the tournament, it was also the first time ever that a Native team had defeated a USA team in a national or international level game.
IN THE BIG SEMI-FINAL GAME
The game that decided who would play Canada for the GOLD, the U.S. produced their best effort of the tournament defeating the Iroquois convincingly 12-7. The Americans jumped on their power play opportunities, scoring 5 extra man up goals. This proved to be the game changer.
THE FINALS
After a series of playoff games, all the teams were ranked and then played for final world standing.
