During their two week trip over to the United States, the eleven Japanese Kyoto University players trained with Johnny Mouradian and the AILA staff at multiple complexes and with a few of the Philadelphia area local high schools.

Their training started at the Marple Sports Arena in Broomall, PA. They were introduced to the In|Crosse system and picked up the indoor style of play rather quickly. After their two hour training session, the players and Johnny made their way over to the Baggataway Tavern in Conshohocken, PA for lunch where the players took in the atmosphere, admiring the lacrosse memories hanging on the wall.

With their eyes on some t-shirts and snow on the way, baggataway Tavern owner and AILA investor, Paul French, made the kids a deal. If they shoveled the parking lot, they would receive a t-shirt. Needless to say, the guys got an early morning workout.

The Kyoto players made their way around the Philadelphia area, training at Marple Sports Arena, BucksMont Indoor Sports Center and United Sports Training Center. At each complex, the players met and trained with local Philadelphia programs La Salle College HS, Downingtown East HS JV & youth program LYA, and Radnor High School.

With their days off, the team traveled the east coast taking in multiple NCAA lacrosse games and a Philadelphia Wings game, meeting some of the most prestigious coaches and players in the game and snapped a picture with Philadelphia Flyers players Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds.

Since their return home, the Kyoto players have given the game of lacrosse in Japan an entirely new aspect of the way the game is played. Introducing the In|Crosse system to their teammates and altering their outdoor game is just part of the process. They have reached out to AILA and asked for Mouradian to make a special appearance and to train the Kyoto team in Japan.
