This past weekend, AILA and the Jr Wings held the first two identification tryout camps for the Midget, Bantam and Pee Wee divisions at Bryn Athyn College and The Peddie School. 

The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) are sending three elite indoor (box) lacrosse teams to compete in the Junior NLL Champion’s Cup at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario over Labor Day weekend 2014 (Friday, August 29 - Monday, September 1).

The Junior NLL program provides players a chance to work alongside professional box players and develop their indoor skills. Team members will wear the same jerseys as their pro teams, play under NLL rules, and be coached by professional personnel associated with their pro affiliates.

Three divisions of athletes will compete for the tournament championship in their perspective age class. Athletes born in 2002 & 2003 will participate in the Pee Wee division, those born in 2000 and 2001 will compete in the Bantam division, and lastly individuals born in 1998 and 1999 will compete in the Midget division.

American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) has developed a number of cutting edge Integrated Programs and Services that teach the bio-mechanics, principles, strategies and tactics of indoor lacrosse that takes advantage of the several features - small goals (4’x 4’9), 30 second shot clock, five on five lacrosse, players learn to play offense and defense, to name a few.  The In Crosse Platform is the integration and convergence of the knowledge and skills of indoor lacrosse to the field game the builds lacrosse literacy that differentiates and produces well-rounded and highly skilled field players.
