AILA and Heads Up Lacrosse banned together for what was one of the best box lacrosse summer Academy/Leagues in the Tri-State area. Over 60 kids signed up for the Academy & League from Glen Rock, Ridgewood and the surrounding area.

AILA President Johnny Mouradian and AILA staff met with Tim Bracken and his Heads Up Coaches on June 27 to start up the program in Nothern New Jersey at Wilde Memorial Park.

Coach Bracken had this to say, "Box lacrosse is the future. Youth lacrosse holds the future. Combine the two and you see the future."

The program broke into two sections with 5th & 6th graders meeting Thursday nights and the 7th & 8th graders on Tuesday nights. Players recieved instructions from coaches in the begginning of every practice with a game following right after.

About AILA: American Indoor Lacrosse Association’s Integrated Programs provide In|Crosse education and training, AILA’s proprietary system that leverages the integration and convergence of the indoor version of lacrosse with the field game.  AILA’s integrated programs contribute significantly to the building blocks of lacrosse literacy by teaching cutting edge bio-mechanics, principles, strategies and tactics of indoor lacrosse.  AILA’s Programs  take advantage of the several features - small goals (4’x 4’9), 30 second shot clock, five on five lacrosse, players learn to play offense and defense, to name a few.  The In|Crosse Platform is the integration and convergence of the knowledge and skills to the field game. www.ailacrosse.net
