It was a tough battle between the Iroquois and Canada to see who would win the gold at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.

Both teams fought all the way to the fourth quarter, but it was the men in red from the North [Canada] were able to come away with a 12-8 victory over the host nation [Iroquois].

Canada's defense held a very pesky Iroquois offense to only eight goals after a flurry of possession after possession after possession. Transition helped Canada as well as they were able to produce off their breaks and odd man situations.

As usual, Lyle Thompson put on a show while his brother Jeremy took over the faceoff X. Angus Goodleaf [Iro] and Matt Vinc [Can] both played stellar between the pipes.

Congratulations to AILA President, Johnny Mouradian, and AILA Coach, Glenn Clark, on leading the team to victory!
