The Jr Wings PeeWee's made the Semi Finals in an exciting round of games at the NXT PILC Tournament at Feasterville Sportsplex during Presidents Day weekend.

In their first match of the afternoon, the red and black took on Leading Edge. This game was one for the story books as it came down to a penalty shot at the end of the game after a great defensive effort to stop the breakaway. Unfortunately, it helped Leading Edge tie the Wings 4-4.

Not letting that keep them down, the team bounced back and won two games in a row over BLT Beavers and Patriot Lax to end the round robin portion 2-1-0.

"The players were giving everything they had. We cleaned up a lot after the first half of the first game and they came out on fire on both sides of the ball. Unfortunately, we ran out of gas at the end, but I am very proud of the effort these boys gave," stated Head Coach Brendan Staudt.

They met Lehigh Valley's Stars and Stripes in the Semi Finals, where the Wings had a one goal lead at half time. With the loss of two players right before the game, the boys left it all out on the field and emptied their gas tanks. However, the night ended just one game shy of the championship for the red and black as the Stars and Stripes went on to hoist the trophy after taking down Team 91 in the championship game.
