The Second Annual AILA Heritage Cup was held at the Sportsplex in Feasterville (PA) on Sunday, and 15 teams competed in a box lacrosse tournament that was organized into 4 brackets according to “indoor” terminology – Pee Wee (Grades 5/6), Bantam (Grades 7/8), Midget Minor (high school JV) and Midget Major (high school varsity).

The Champions of each the brackets were as follows, team pictures are posted at http://ailacup.heritagelacrosse.com/photo-gallery/.

• Pee Wee Major Bracket (5th/6th grades) – Leading Edge 5/6 (NJ)
• Bantam Major Bracket (7th/8th grades) – Rebel Express (Ottawa, Canada)
• Midget Minor Bracket (High School JV) – Building Blocks Lacrosse / BBL (NJ)
• Midget Major Bracket (high School) – Building Blocks Lacrosse / BBL (NJ)

The event also featured a players/coaches clinic led by Johnny Mouradian, Director of the Canadian National Indoor Lacrosse Program, and other members of the AILA staff. The clinics focused on indoor “Canadian-style” mechanics and techniques to help players become more effective in the outdoor game, consistent with the accelerating convergence of box and field lacrosse concepts and the latest teaching methods.
